    SOCOM begins fielding new battlefield biometrics system

    U.S. Special Operations Command has formally adopted Reveal Technology's Identifi biometric system as an official program of record. The mobile application enables field operators to collect and verify fingerprints, facial recognition, voice analysis, and iris scans, with data cross-referenced against the Department of Defense's Automated Biometric Identification System. SOCOM has already begun fielding the tool with plans for broader deployment throughout the fiscal year.
