The Centre has extended the service of Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Sai Kumar by six months. He was due to retire in August 2026 as a 1990-batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS officer.

Phanindra Reddy has been appointed as the new Chairperson of TNRERA. This follows the resignations of Shiv Das Meena and other retired bureaucrats who previously held the position.

Telangana IAS transfers are scheduled for June 2026. N. Sridhar has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Bishwanath Sinha is set to become the new Chief Secretary. He is a 1991 batch IAS officer who previously served as Kerala’s Resident Commissioner in New Delhi and has two years remaining in his service until retirement in 2028.
