Brookfield raised $2 billion for a Middle East-focused private equity fund backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). The fund, with a first close including PIF and other investors, will allocate 50% to Saudi Arabia, supporting PIF’s goal to attract foreign capital. PIF also agreed with I Squared Capital to deploy up to $2 billion in the kingdom.
