A 70-year-old cyclist was killed in a vehicle collision on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach on April 27. Authorities confirmed the incident occurred just before noon north of Newland Street, with the victim found unconscious in the roadway.

Huntington Beach High School was briefly locked down Wednesday morning after a man was reported waving a suspected knife near the campus. Officers responded to Main Street and Yorktown Avenue around 8:30 a.m. near the school and police department.
