- New motorcycle endorsement rule in Colorado targets safety as e-bike, dirt bike crashes rise
A new Colorado law effective August 12 requires minors to obtain written parental or guardian consent to get a motorcycle endorsement, addressing rising e-bike and dirt bike crashes. Existing rules mandate a valid license, registration, insurance, and helmets for riders under 18, but the law changes consent requirements from any adult to a parent or guardian. The law, House Bill 26-1079, passed unanimously in April to improve safety.
