An elderly Hong Kong man known as 'Mr Ho' has been jailed for two months for stabbing his much younger wife upon learning she was returning to mainland China after their relationship turned sour. The District Court sentenced 79-year-old Ho Huen in his absence as he remained hospitalized.

Charities are helping 5,000 residents displaced by a fire at Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court on November 26 last year, which killed 168 people. A 69-year-old woman named Ho and her daughter are living in a temporary public housing flat in Hung Shui Kiu, Hong Kong, while relying on donated items.
