Ohio's economic growth is fueled by investments in semiconductor manufacturing and utility infrastructure, relying heavily on skilled tradespeople to maintain electrical systems. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) plays a critical role in modernizing the grid for energy resources and facilities like the Intel campus. This growth, however, faces a challenge as 92 percent of construction firms report difficulties finding qualified workers.
