Giles County Fire & Rescue, along with EMS, E911, and the Giles County Sheriff’s Department, rescued a person from Richland Creek after they missed a boat ramp and were swept past it. The individual was able to hold onto the creek's side until swift water rescue-certified members helped them ashore.
