    Southern California man pleads guilty to murdering father

    Gerardo Arroyo Almanza, a 37-year-old man from Simi Valley, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for stabbing his father to death in 2024. He also admitted to three counts of criminal threats against other family members, as announced by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office on August 3.
