- Michigan man gets at least 30 years for killing groomsman on wedding night
James Shirah, a 24-year-old Michigan man, was sentenced to 30 to 45 years in prison for fatally running over his best friend, Terry Taylor Jr., on his wedding night. The incident occurred after an argument broke out at a celebration in Flint. Shirah pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and will be eligible for parole after serving at least 30 years.
