    PETA questions Gaston County's animal shelter policy after puppies abandoned

    The animal rights group PETA is questioning Gaston County's shelter policies following the discovery of abandoned dogs in Gastonia. Five puppies were found abandoned last week in rural Gastonia, and Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement officers picked them up to search for their owner.
