Maya mathematician’s name decoded alongside astronomical formula

An ancient Maya astronomer-mathematician named Sak Tahn Waax, identified through deciphered inscriptions at Xultun, Guatemala, is credited with a 1200-year-old formula predicting Mars and Venus orbital cycles.
