- Mooresville police officer accused of misusing Flock Safety cameras
A Mooresville police officer was arrested for allegedly misusing the department’s Flock safety camera system for personal gain. Chief Ron Campurciani stated that such abuse of power deepens the divide between law enforcement and the community. Furthermore, department leadership is currently reviewing ten additional potential cases of officer misuse.
- Burglary suspect apprehended with help of Flock camera system
A suspect was arrested after a violent burglary at Monroe Tobacco and Stuff, where a shot was fired into the occupied store. The Flock Safety camera system aided authorities in identifying the getaway vehicle, leading to the capture of Sherwin Alfonzo Green in Lexington, South Carolina. The second suspect remains at large.
