Politically motivated crime in Germany has doubled over the past decade, reaching 85,837 reported cases last year, with right-wing ideology accounting for half of the offenses. Security services attribute the rise to online discourse fueling hatred and violence, while hate crimes, antisemitic crimes, and religiously motivated crimes also increased significantly.
