    Brooke Slusser, a former San Jose State University (SJSU) volleyball player, revealed she was instructed to avoid being alone with head coach Todd Kress during the 2024 season due to rumors of his alleged past misconduct. SJSU received a letter in October 2024 from a former player alleging Kress attacked her in a hotel room in 1998, but the school did not inform current players of these allegations. Kress remains as head coach and has continued his role despite the claims.
