Nearly 100 US troops were injured by Iran strikes since July 7, according to the Pentagon. Iran retaliated against US strikes by targeting military bases in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait. The Pentagon denied a New York Times report alleging withheld injury data, and confirmed three soldiers killed in Jordan and one in Iraq during recent attacks.

A U.S. Army soldier from Fort Bragg was killed while disarming an Iranian drone in Iraq, marking the second Fort Bragg soldier killed in the Middle East this weekend. Another soldier died in Jordan during an attack, and a third was killed in a separate incident supporting operations against the Islamic State. The U.S. military death toll in the Iran conflict has risen to 18.

The Pentagon identified Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, killed during a controlled detonation of an Iranian drone in northern Iraq. A second service member was wounded, and two other U.S. soldiers were recently killed in an Iranian attack in Jordan. Swinton will posthumously receive the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and be promoted to staff sergeant.

Fort Carson officials are holding a memorial for Sgt. Devin A. Seibel, a 26-year-old soldier killed during a training accident in Iraq on May 31. Seibel, assigned to the 2nd battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Carson, died alongside British soldier Lance Corporal James Freeman at Erbil Air Base.
