- Greece to buy $4 billion air defence system from Israel
Greece has approved a €3.5 billion ($4 billion) purchase of an Israeli multi-layer air defense system called 'Achilles Shield', including radars and missiles from Rafael and IAI. The defense minister confirmed the system will be operational within 35 months and that Greek companies will produce at least 25% of it. Additional procurements include Embraer C-390 aircraft, drones, and submarines, as part of Greece's broader defense modernization plan.
