Electric-shock gloves

Civil liberties groups have expressed alarm regarding a $20 million plan to supply Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers with specialized electric-shock gloves. This scrutiny follows high-profile lawsuits concerning their use in local correctional facilities, including an instance where a 43-year-old man allegedly died after being shocked multiple times by officers using the gloves and a Taser in a county jail in Kentucky. The deceased man's widow is suing authorities.
