    Man killed at Memorial Park over the weekend identified, arrest made

    A 19-year-old man, Haywood Trisby, was killed at Memorial Park in a parking lot on July 18. A 20-year-old suspect, Malaki Branch, was arrested for first-degree murder. This marks the 10th homicide in the city this year, compared to 20 at the same time last year.

    The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested Alyssa Ned for her alleged involvement in the death of her four-month-old baby. The baby was found unresponsive on September 3, 2025, at Copper Chase Apartments and later pronounced dead.     Arrests made in connection to deadly shooting on New Year's Day, 2025

    Two individuals were arrested in connection to a deadly shooting on New Year's Day, 2025, in Colorado Springs. The victim, Andrea Martinez, was pronounced dead at the scene, and 27-year-old Brandy Cantu and 22-year-old Ricky Gomez were charged with second-degree murder and accessory to a crime, respectively.
