Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to addressing Balochistan's economic and development challenges through constitutional means during a meeting with the National Party delegation. Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, leading the delegation, emphasized cooperation with stakeholders and noted that insurgent groups in Balochistan lack public support, following recent attacks that killed 32 civilians and police.

The Balochistan government withheld budget documents from journalists and public for the first time as lawmakers debated the 2026-27 budget. Opposition leaders criticized the Rs206bn development package as inadequate, while ministers defended the tax-free plan. The budget faced accusations of ignoring the province’s needs and failing to address persistent instability.
