Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson kicked off her general election campaign at a small business roundtable in Detroit, embracing Abdul El-Sayed’s message of affordability. She told reporters that while lowering costs for healthcare and housing is key, true affordability also requires increasing wages to address stagnation. Joining the event was Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, who reinforced Benson's focus on supporting small businesses to build generational wealth.
