Two young women suspected of petty theft died in Lahore police custody under mysterious circumstances. The Lahore police claim they died due to a drug overdose, denying allegations of torture, while the incident has raised concerns amid ongoing scrutiny of police conduct.

Lahore police obtained five-day custody of three suspects in a case involving the alleged abduction and sexual assault of two foreign women. Eight suspects, including high-profile individuals, have been arrested, and the victims left Pakistan on July 3. A sessions court also granted pre-arrest bail to an SHO accused of forcibly entering a magistrate's residence to record statements.

Lahore police registered a case against five suspects for kidnapping and sexually assaulting two foreign women from the Netherlands and Venezuela. Four suspects were arrested, and the victims were rescued within two hours, with a security guard remaining at large. The Punjab government and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz oversaw the operation, which involved the Punjab Safe City Authority.
