- Power line ‘undergrounding’ to interrupt traffic flow on NW DC commuter route
Power line undergrounding in Washington, D.C., will cause lane closures on Nebraska Avenue Northwest from July 25 to August 7, disrupting east-west commuter traffic. The project, part of the D.C. PLUG initiative by DDOT and Pepco, aims to improve power reliability by burying overhead lines, addressing issues identified in a 2012 task force report.
