Crew Dragon

NASA reversed an evacuation order for astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) after a worsening air leak prompted temporary sheltering in SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft. The agency and Russia’s Roscosmos examined the leak rate, with Roscosmos stating no immediate threat to the crew despite ongoing efforts to repair cracks in the Zvezda service module. This marked the first reversal of a safe-haven order in the ISS’s 27-year history.

Astronauts on the International Space Station have been ordered to shelter in their spacecraft and prepare for potential evacuation as a Russian crew attempts to repair a worsening air leak in its portion of the orbital laboratory. NASA's Crew-12 mission astronauts, including two U.S. astronauts, a French astronaut, and a Russian cosmonaut, were instructed to enter their Crew Dragon spacecraft and don spacesuits.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman attended Space Camp as a child and later donated $10 million to support its expansion. He shared his experiences with participants and inspired them to pursue careers in aviation and space exploration. Isaacman's donation came after he flew to space twice as a private citizen on SpaceX's Crew Dragon vehicle.
