A 26-year-old San Francisco woman was arrested by the Concord Police Department for allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct with a 17-year-old boy while working at Contra Costa County Health. The investigation was initiated after police received information from Contra Costa County.

A 22-year-old man was killed in a high-speed three-vehicle crash in Concord involving a Buick Lucerne, Nissan Murano, and Dodge Ram. The crash caused the Buick to catch fire, resulting in the man's death, while the Nissan's driver and her 12-year-old grandson sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Concord police released images of suspected home invaders following a surge in vehicle and home burglaries. The thieves are targeting Lexus, Honda, and Acura vehicles, as well as pickup trucks, work trucks, and contractor vehicles. Surveillance images were released to aid in identifying the suspects.
