A suspected DUI wrong-way crash in Commerce City caused a head-on collision on Colorado Boulevard, injuring two drivers who were hospitalized with likely serious injuries. The incident led to road closures, and the Federal Highway Administration states such crashes account for 14% of U.S. traffic fatalities annually.

A pickup truck driver was killed in a rollover crash in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the incident near Colorado Boulevard and Wiota Street on July 31 at approximately 3:36 a.m.
