A suspected kidnapper was shot and killed by police after he fatally shot a victim in the trunk of his car in California. Deputies pursued the suspect vehicle, and during a confrontation, the driver opened the trunk and fired at the victim before engaging police, who returned fire. The passenger was arrested, and no deputies were injured.
