- York County man accused of stabbing elderly woman multiple times, sheriff says
A 51-year-old York County man, Douglas Stewart, is accused of stabbing a 74-year-old woman multiple times at her home in Cherokee County, South Carolina. The woman was airlifted to a hospital after driving to a neighbor's house for help. Stewart was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and the sheriff’s office stated the two knew each other, ruling out a random act.

Jerry Wayne Ross, 72, faces charges after allegedly hitting a group of cyclists in a road rage incident captured on video in Cherokee County, Georgia. The North Georgia Cycling Association reported the incident, during which Ross's Honda Pilot struck cyclists, causing injuries including a fractured spine. Ross was arrested and faces six charges, including hit-and-run.
