A brush fire in San Diego's Sorrento Valley area forced evacuations and required significant ground and aerial firefighting efforts. Firefighters credited aerial attacks with preventing a more destructive outcome, containing the fire to approximately 90 acres. Over 400 personnel and seven aircraft, including a Cal Fire C-130H, were deployed to combat the blaze.
