A police-involved shooting occurred in Miami Shores after an armed man with two edged weapons, including a machete, caused a disturbance at a car dealership and near a liquor store. The man was injured and hospitalized, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement has taken over the investigation.

Body camera footage shows Miami police officers responding to a brutal street attack by a group of bikers on a man, with one officer sitting in her cruiser without intervening. Cassius Bythewood, a man who intervened to stop a random stabbing attack on Caitlin Dydzuhn in downtown Miami, reunited with her weeks later. The assault left Dydzuhn partially blind in one eye and with severe facial injuries. Bythewood, who runs a nonprofit organization focused on women's safety, used a glass water bottle to subdue the attacker and suffered minor injuries during the confrontation.

Caitlin Dydzuhn was attacked by Raydean Johnson, a homeless man armed with a homemade shank, in downtown Miami. Johnson punched, headbutted, and stabbed her, prompting a police standoff and his arrest. Dydzuhn survived with injuries and ongoing trauma.
