- Man faces felony for vandalizing Bay of Pigs monument, police say
A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly vandalizing the Bay of Pigs Monument in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood. The suspect, identified as Jean Carlo Rojas, caused approximately $1,000 in damages to the city-owned monument and is facing a felony charge of criminal mischief on a memorial or historic property. Rojas, a homeless construction worker, was already on felony bond for separate charges related to battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer.
