    Former candidate for Florida governor arrested on drug charges, police say

    Andrew Demetric Gillum was arrested on drug charges after police found methamphetamine and marijuana in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Daphne, Alabama. He was booked into Daphne City Jail and later transferred to Baldwin County Correctional Facility. Gillum was the Democratic nominee in the 2018 Florida gubernatorial election and served as mayor of Tallahassee from 2014 to 2018.
