Ayman Safadi

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Jordan's Ayman Safadi to discuss the deteriorating situation in the occupied West Bank and regional developments. They reaffirmed Pakistan-Jordan cooperation across political, economic, and cultural domains and highlighted Jordan's role in safeguarding Jerusalem's holy sites. Dar also met Somalia's Foreign Minister to strengthen bilateral ties.

Qatar condemns Iranian attacks on Jordan, calling them a dangerous escalation that violates Jordan's sovereignty and international law. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged an immediate halt to all military actions following the attacks.

Jordan and the European Commission welcomed a US-mediated Israel-Lebanon framework agreement aimed at regional stability. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized disarmament of non-state groups and preserving Lebanon's sovereignty, while Jordan's foreign minister expressed hope for advancing Lebanon's interests. Protests in Beirut opposed the deal, with Hezbollah accusing it of legitimizing Israeli occupation.
