- Southwest announces four new nonstop flights from Nashville International Airport
Southwest Airlines will add four new nonstop flights from Nashville International Airport starting March 2027, including routes to Des Moines, Wichita, Aruba, and St. Thomas. The airline also announced increased daily service to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, calling it their largest spring schedule yet.

- US military boards Iranian-flagged oil tanker in Gulf of Oman
The US military boarded an Iranian-flagged oil tanker, M/T Celestial Sea, in the Gulf of Oman, suspecting it of trying to violate a US naval blockade. The tanker was sailing towards an Iranian port and is over 120 meters long. The operation was carried out by Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
