- Qantas completes test flight ahead of record-breaking 22-hour Sydney-London route
Qantas completed a 24-hour test flight between Melbourne and Toulouse to prepare for its 22-hour nonstop Sydney-London route using a modified Airbus A350-1000ULR with an additional fuel tank. The airline plans to introduce 12 of these aircraft, each with 238 seats, and aims to launch the route in 2027, followed by Sydney to New York flights.
