The Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K) claimed responsibility for killing Taliban official Zabihullah Amiri in Badakhshan, Afghanistan. Amiri, head of the information and culture department in Badakhshan, was shot dead while traveling to Faizabad. The Taliban stated one attacker was killed and another arrested, vowing to maintain resolve against such attacks.
