Commonwealth Charter Academy, Pennsylvania’s largest cyber charter school, has acquired a 32,000-square-foot building in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard for staff offices and student services. The school’s enrollment has nearly doubled to 35,000 students, with 5,000 in Philadelphia, and it has spent $50 million on real estate statewide since 2022. Critics argue the expansion reflects excess funding not used for education, while officials emphasize improved access for families.

Teen pregnancy rates have decreased, but test scores have also declined. Hawaiʻi ranks in the bottom third of states for academic and economic outcomes for children, despite improvements in other areas.
