Copper thieves stole AC units from a Sacramento County post office three times, forcing postal staff and customers to endure extreme heat. The thefts left workers and patrons without air conditioning during a summer heatwave.

Vandalism and commercial property theft are increasing in Portsmouth, according to the Portsmouth Police Department. Thieves are targeting copper pipes, water main valves, and AC units, prompting police to recommend keeping properties well lit to deter theft.

AC units were stolen from businesses on Granby Street in Norfolk. Lomo Pizzeria, a local business on Granby Street, was closed on a particular Friday with a notice placed on a paper plate by owner Chris Carr.
