1 seriously hurt in early morning north Charlotte shooting

A shooting occurred in north Charlotte early Thursday morning near North Tryon Street, close to Craighead Road. One person was severely injured and taken to the hospital. Police officers were at the scene outside the Thrift Motel, and an area near Burger King was blocked off with crime scene tape.
