Coast Guard seizes 7K pounds of cocaine worth more than $54 million near Puerto Rico, five arrested

The U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a suspected smuggling boat off Puerto Rico, seizing more than 7,000 pounds of cocaine worth over $54 million using the cutter Richard Dixon. This operation required seamless coordination with Customs and Border Protection air assets, leading to five arrests. Furthermore, the agency previously reported that it seized over 75,000 pounds of illicit narcotics at Port Everglades in Miami, Florida.
