Rahil Prakash conducted what he called a "short-term social experiment" by creating a website called Median Strategies and releasing fake polling results to test how easily falsehoods could spread. These fabricated polls were released in the Wisconsin governor's race, the Los Angeles mayoral race, and two statewide Nevada races.
