Man who pleaded guilty to reporting fake bomb threat at DTW after missing flight sentenced
A Monroe man named John Charles Robinson pleaded guilty to charges of false information or hoaxes after allegedly reporting a fake bomb threat for a flight departing from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). He reportedly called Spirit Airlines on June 5, 2025, claiming people would try to blow up the airport and the plane. Following his plea, he was sentenced on August 18 to three years’ probation.
