OpenAI Bans Russian ChatGPT Accounts Used to Run Influence Operation

OpenAI announced that it banned a group of Russian ChatGPT accounts that were bypassing access restrictions using VPNs. These accounts were conducting an influence operation by utilizing the AI tool to generate social media posts and comments. The content was subsequently shared on various platforms, including Substack, Telegram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn, aimed at promoting the International Burke Institute (IBI).
