Aug. 25: Nashville’s Homeless Count; Mayor Freddie O’Connell Appoints a Housing Advisor

Nashville's Office of Homeless Services certified that the annual point-in-time homelessness assessment recorded a total of 2,298 people, which is up 5.4 percent from 2025. Mayor Freddie O’Connell appointed Dhathri Chunduru as senior adviser for housing in his office. Additionally, Mental Health Cooperative and Mother to Mother are collaborating on a resource drive providing supplies and information on Sept 2 at 275 Cumberland Bend.
