Pueblo City Council votes on four tax-hike ordinances

The Pueblo City Council voted on four ordinances that proposed raising sales and use taxes by 0.25% to fund various services, including Parks and Recreation and roads. Although a successful vote would have advanced all proposals to the citywide ballot, only the ordinance for Fire and Technology Related to Public Safety passed (5-2). The remaining three ordinances failed their votes (4-3) and will not appear on November's ballot.
