Trump administration proposes six-figure price tag for new H-1B visas
The Trump administration proposed a new fee of $103,265 for cap-subject H-1B petitions to cover federal costs of administering legal immigration programs. This proposal was initially put in place by presidential proclamation but was subsequently blocked by a federal judge and is currently under review by appellate courts. The Department of Homeland Security stated the fee would apply to all cap-subject petitions, including those for foreign students.
