David Cannom, pioneering L.A. cardiologist, dies at 86
David Cannom, a pioneer and L.A. cardiologist, died at age 86. He was noted for pioneering the use of implantable defibrillators and spent more than 30 years as director of cardiology at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan.
