Bear knocks over and bites South Platte angler, is tracked down and euthanized

A female bear attacked an angler in South Platte, knocking him over and biting him. The bear was later tracked down and euthanized. This incident contributes to a record level of human-bear contact, which is worsened by the 2026 drought.
