Iran security chief threatens neighbors against economic measures, and other Mideast developments

Iran's top security adviser, Mohsen Rezaei, threatened neighbors against participating in U.S. efforts to damage Iran’s economy, stating that Iran would target oil-shipping routes from the Persian Gulf. Separately, Egypt officials discussed reviving negotiations between Tehran and Washington, while regional tensions remain high as Israel carried out strikes in Syria and Gaza.
