Woman in her 30s who pretended to be a child and lived with family found guilty of fraud
A woman named Amanda Maria Souza de Oliveira was found guilty of fraud and false identity in Brazil for living with a foster family while pretending to be a child. She had maintained this elaborate scheme by creating a false age and identity over approximately 15 years. The Court of Justice of Santa Catarina sentenced her to prison after she admitted to deceiving people.
